The sisters: Christiana and Gladius:

The first ladies of Veneficum were born in South-west Wales to the daughter of a druid priestess. What they did not know is that their father was the elf king, Eionon from the kingdom of Veneficium. Eionon was forced to return to his kingdom while his father lay dying. He wanted to bring his pregnant love, Aerona with him as well their infant daughter, Christiana, but his magic was not strong enough to bring them through the Great Divide.

Aerona married a brutal Roman General named Lucius Triarius when the girls were very young. Aerona passed away during the voyage from Britannia to Rome, leaving Christiana and Gladius in the care of their evil stepfather. However, Christiana soon used a magical fey amulet that her grandmother gave her to wish herself, a handsome fallen God named Bran the Blessed, her sister, and a brooding gladiator to the realm where the fey folk lived. These two ladies actually formed the land of Veneficium.
